The present Bachelor's thesis deals with innovative electrical installation methods and their impact on
the construction industry. Given the increasing complexity of building structures, traditional
installation methods often prove problematic, as they both burden the environment and hinder the
cost-effectiveness of construction projects.
The main objective of this thesis is to reduce or even avoid the amount of inclusions in structural
elements through innovative electrical installation methods. Both the ecological and economic effects
of traditional concealed and surface-mounted installations are considered.
The methodology of this work includes extensive research on common building structures and the
reasons for the use of traditional installation methods. Based on these findings, new installation
methods have been developed that reduce the amount of concrete inclusions while providing
flexibility. The variants have been systematically evaluated and compared, with a particular focus on
economic and ecological aspects.
The results of the Bachelor's thesis demonstrate significant potential for reducing wiring through the
implementation of new installation methods. The economic benefits of these approaches are also
evident. In particular, the use of wireless technologies opens up new possibilities and enables
unconventional installations.
The significance of these findings lies in their positive impact on sustainable and efficient resource
utilization, as well as in the economic considerations. Based on these findings, it becomes apparent
that implementing advanced wireless technologies such as Smart Home systems is a sensible
approach to both saving financial resources and minimizing the ecological footprint. This provides an
efficient and adaptable solution for future construction projects. The benefits are intended to spread
globally and contribute to the refinement of the Smart Home electrical installation variant.

Following the recent events around the globe energy shortages especially in the electricity sector have grown dramatically. The climate crisis has produced rapid growth in photovoltaic installations. If a power shortage occurs in Switzerland, there is a predefined plan with measures ranging from voluntary power savings to export restrictions and rolling blackouts. To counteract blackouts local power production can be used. These power units can be Battery Energy Storage Systems, Generator Sets, Flywheels, or also Photovoltaics. Where photovoltaics can not be classified as emergency power supplies because they severely lack reliability, they can be used in combination with the fore mentioned power units. Combining these units brings advantages and challenges. One challenge is grid stability. The fluctuation in power production from photovoltaics can cause instability in the grid if the fluctuations are too large for the grid-forming element of the system to handle. In such a case an additional battery acting as a buffer can relieve the system. Emergency power supplies can be compared to microgrids. Where these are more commonly used to support facilities, which
have unsatisfactory grid connections, they could also serve as emergency power supplies in island-able installations. Whereas now in Switzerland the demand for photovoltaics being integrated into an emergency power supply has not been there, that might all change in the coming winters with the increasing risk of power shortages.

zentralen Abluftanlagen in Verwaltungsbauten.
This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of decentralised ventilation systems to decentralised supply
air and centralised extract air systems in administration buildings. In the Bachelor+-project of Group B, a
decentralised ventilation system is planned. The comparison is now used to analyse the two ventilation
systems for the project and to then make a recommendation. Afterwards the recommendation is compared
with the planned ventilation system. The question arises as to whether the correct ventilation system was
selected in the Bachelor+ project. A utility analysis is carried out for the comparison. A comparison tool is
developed for this purpose. The result of the utility analysis showed that the decentralised ventilation system
is more suitable for the Bachelor+ project than the decentralised supply air and central extract air systems.
Accordingly, the right ventilation system was selected for the Bachelor+ project of Group B.

Switzerland's energy supply has been in a state of flux for some time now. At the latest since the outbreak of
the war in Ukraine, the debate surrounding energy and climate policy has been reignited. With the Energy
Strategy 2050, the federal government has a roadmap to drive forward the expansion of renewable energy
sources and energy efficiency. Photovoltaics play a central role in this. It can be used on and on buildings and
infrastructures and thus displace other energies from the Swiss electricity mix. While the planning effort for
new PV systems has been steadily reduced in recent years, decentralised energy generation and storage
systems are hardly ever tested and optimised for their technical and economic suitability. In this thesis, the
different technologies such as PV systems, battery storage systems as well as electric mobility and the
establishment of an association for self-consumption are examined and planned on a reference project. The
findings of this planning process show that the use of PV systems is always possible in principle. Local
conditions, such as irradiation or shading, influence the energy yield and are therefore of central importance
when designing the optimal variants. From an ecological point of view, the goal must be to use the entire
solar power potential efficiently, if possible. In addition, the PV system must be matched to the building's
consumption. If a small amount of self-consumption is achieved with the solar system alone, charging
stations in combination with electric vehicles in particular can contribute to an economic optimisation of selfconsumption.
With these, additional profit can even be achieved through the sale of charging electricity.
Finally, high storage prices, for example, have an enormous influence on economic efficiency and should
therefore only be used in certain circumstances or in the event of future cost reductions.

The energy strategy 2050 aims to reduce Switzerland’s energy-related environmental impact while maintaining its high supply standard. Especially in the field of mobility, a shift from the conventional combustion engine to alternative technologies is to be expected. As the development of renewable energy sources has gained in momentum, the need for energy-storing systems able to compensate for the fluctuating energy supplies has become evident.
This thesis aimed to evaluate the optimal installment of photovoltaic collectors (PC) on both the roof and house-front of the training center of the Auto Gewerbe Verband Schweiz (AGVS) as well as the incorporation of charging-stations for electrically powered vehicles and a energy storage system. The three options were assessed as single-options and in combinations based on the current consumption load using the simulation software Polysun®.
A maximum utilization of the roof-space and the upper house-front for PCs is both lucrative and strategically valuable, considering the implementation of the energy strategy 2050. To optimize internal energy consumption and to promote E-mobility, we recommend the installment of two initial public charging stations with the option to expand to up to 20 in the future. The inclusion of a bi-directional E-mobile would allow to reduce peak-loads and maximize internal consumption. Regarding the energy-storage system, we recommend a lighthouse project based on second-life batteries obtained from electrically powered cars. This strategy would allow to supplement the bidirectional E-mobile in its absence, support grid-stability and optimize the share of internal consumption. The implementation of a stationary storage system is not financially lucrative but a combination of second-life system with a bidirectional E-mobile would put the AGVS in a pioneering position. In addition, the promotion of the technology itself but also its use for educational purposes could boost the public image of the AGVS.

reine Lastspitzenreduzierung schneidet annähernd so gut ab.
With the ecceptance of the “Energiestrategie 2050”, the Swiss electorate made a conscious decision in favour
of renewable energy production. As a result of falling prices for photovoltaic systems, the number of new
installations are increasing continuously. However, as a large part of the electricity produced has to be sold
during the day and purchased again at night, the prosumer’s expectations are often not met. With "Zero
Emission Batteries" it is possible to store an excess of energy generated during the day and use it again when
in demand. This is possible without resorting to critical materials such as lithium and cobalt. In the context of
this bachelor thesis, the economic efficiency of the salt-nickel storage system installed in the Migros
Schlieren - Rietbach is tested. Further, feasible optimizations are examined.
By using a virtual replica of a battery in the simulation programme Polysun, realistic operational situations
were simulated. A structured literature research and the generation and consumption load profiles from the
year 2020 serve as the basis for the simulations. Based on the simulation results, the technical and economic
effects of the different control strategies are analysed and evaluated.
With the weather forecast incorporated in the controller, the battery storage is the most economic. Peakshaving
optimisation performs nearly as well. However, with the existing energy tariffs, the high investment
costs of the ZEBRA battery cannot be amortised within a reasonable time horizon. In addition to that
electrical losses are relatively high due to the size of the battery storage. Therefore, smaller storage units can
be used more effectively.
The selection of the control strategy and the economic efficiency of the battery are strongly dependent on the
grid operator. For this reason, a separate analysis has to be made for each location. Since a predictive
controller cannot be integrated into Migros' existing battery management system, peak-shaving optimisation
is recommended instead.
reine Lastspitzenreduzierung schneidet annähernd so gut ab.
