        "@value": "This thesis work considers an outlook on classical modernity in\r\nvillage formation, space, structure and apparance in the frame of\r\nreference of Charlottenhof by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. The architectural\r\nimage presented on the Swiss rural way of life and chalet\r\nhas been the symbol of national identity since the National Exhibition\r\n1896 in Geneva. The writing of Stanilaus Von Moos in Nicht\r\nDisneyland 2015 opened a discourse of the question of Swiss identity\r\nand architectural image. He presented the term 'classical modernity'\r\nas the advanced way to proceed beyond the architectural image\r\nof the Swiss chalet. An 18th century architect name Karl Friedrich\r\nSchinkel was proclaim as future man of architecture due to his\r\ninfluence in transformation of Classical architecture with modernity.\r\nWith the focus on the idea of classical modernity, could the\r\nnew collection depot provide one possibility of an architectural\r\nimage in an advance way as Von Moos proclaimed? With the background\r\non Schinkel and his project in Charlottenhof, Potsdam, four\r\narchitectural strategies such as village formation, space, structure\r\nand appearance from four different projects within the Swiss\r\ncontext relating to the new collection depot were analysed. Theoritical\r\nbackground on Schinkel and classical modernity will be based\r\non a collection of essays in Karl Friedrich Schinkel: Drama of\r\nArchitecture 1995. The outcome of the strategies were adopted into\r\nthe project in relation to the analysis outcome from Charlottenhof.\r\nThe analysis in relation to classical modernity from Charlottenhof\r\ngive one possibility of advancing a new 'style' in relation to the\r\nfarmhouse vernacular.",
