The results of the various analyses carried out in this paper highlight the relationships between energy prices fluctuations and the most economically attractive technology combination for the new Campus Horw.
Three thermal energy generation systems combinations, namely a standalone natural gas boiler, a standalone heat pump and a combination of heat pump and biogas boiler, are tested according to two energy price scenarios to determine their economic attractivity. The results of the analysis are then tested to determine the final system compliance with the “2000-Watt site” criteria, defining the ecological quality of the suggested energy systems.
