Das Ziel ist es die\r\nvorgegebenen Fallgeschwindigkeiten der IREC einzuhalten. Der Fokus dieser Bachelorarbeit liegt daher auf\r\nder Entwicklung und Herstellung eines Kreuzfallschirmes mit integriertem Skirt-Reefing.\r\nEin „Reefed-Parachute“ vereint die Eigenschaften eines Pilotfallschirmes mit denen des Hauptfallschirmes.\r\nDas heisst, dass mit nur einem Fallschirm zwei verschiedene und konstante Fallgeschwindigkeiten erreicht\r\nwerden können.\r\nIn dieser Thesis wird zuerst eine Konzeptstudie durchgeführt und das Konzept mit der besten Bewertung\r\nweiterentwickelt. Es wird gezeigt, wie ein Kreuzfallschirm mit Skirt-Reefing dimensioniert, hergestellt und\r\ngeprüft wird. Im Vordergrund steht die Ermittlung des Zugkraftkoeffizienten 𝐶𝐷 des Fallschirmes im offenen\r\nund gereeften Zustand.\r\nDabei stützt sich die Arbeit auf das “Parachute Recovery System Design Manual” von T.W. Knacke und die\r\nTestreihe “Effects Of Canopy Geometry On The Drag Coefficient Of A Cross Parachute In The Fully Open\r\nAnd Reefed Conditions For A W/L Ratio of 0.264” von W.P. Ludtke.\r\nDie Tests haben gezeigt, dass der hergestellte Kreuzfallschirm einen 𝐶𝐷-Offen von 0.57 und einen 𝐶𝐷-Reefed\r\nvon 0.109 aufweist. Damit werden eine Landegeschwindigkeit von 8.5 m/s und eine Fallgeschwindigkeit in\r\nder ersten Flugphase von 19.44 m/s erreicht.\r\nDie Vorgabegeschwindigkeit der IREC liegt in der ersten Phase zwischen 23 m/s und 45 m/s und die\r\nLandegeschwindigkeit soll weniger als 9 m/s betragen. Damit wurde nur eine der beiden Hauptanforderungen\r\nerfüllt. Um beide Anforderungen erfüllen zu können muss die Dimensionierung des Fallschirmes optimiert und\r\nerneut getestet werden.\r\n\r\nThe objective of this thesis is to develop a simple, reusable and save recovery system in the form of a reefed\r\nparachute for the self-constructed rockets of the student association ARIS. Therefore the requirements of IREC\r\nregarding the descent rate must be met. Special focus was set on the development and manufacture of a\r\ncruciform parachute with integrated skirt-reefing.\r\nA reefed parachute combines the properties of a drogue parachute with those of a main parachute. That is to\r\nsay that only one parachute can realize two different constant descent rates.\r\nIn this thesis a concept study was made and the best assessed solution was enhanced. It was shown, how a\r\ncruciform parachute with skirt-reefing was dimensioned, manufactured and tested. The determination of the\r\ndrag coefficient 𝐶𝐷 for the open and reefed parachute were emphasized.\r\nThis thesis was based on the “Parachute Recovery System Design Manual” by T.W. Knacke and on the\r\ntechnical report “Effects Of Canopy Geometry On The Drag Coefficient Of A Cross Parachute In The Fully\r\nOpen And Reefed Conditions For A W/L Ratio of 0.264” by W.P. Ludtke.\r\nA 𝐶𝐷of 0.57 in the open stage was determined by the conducted drop test out of 60 meters and a 𝐶𝐷 of 0.109\r\nin the reefed stage was extracted by the translational drive test. With these performance values a touchdown\r\nvelocity of 8.5 m/s and a constant descent rate in the first stage of 19.44 m/s can be reached.\r\nThe required descent rate of IREC is in between 23 m/s and 45 m/s during the first stage and the touchdown\r\nvelocity must be less than 9 m/s. Thereby only one of both main requirements was met.
