Ein Bereich, wo dieser Aspekt nur teilweise zutrifft, ist die Pla-nung von Rauch- und Wärmeschutzanlagen. Das eine Anpassung an die Ob-jekte nur teilweise vorhanden ist, ist auf die Differenzierung zwischen Syste-men mit Leistungsnachweis und Systemen ohne Leistungsnachweis zurückzuführen. Der Vorteil an der Differenzierung der Systemarten liegt da-rin, dass der Aufwand der Planung und des Bewilligungverfahrens für Sys-teme ohne Nachweis geringer ausfällt. Ein Verzicht auf den Nachweis ist möglich, weil die Dimensionierung nach Vorgabe der Brandschutzrichtlinie der Vereinigten Kantonalen Feuerversicherung (kurz VKF) erfolgt. Mit der angesprochenen Vorschrift ist genügend Sicherheit vorhanden, um den erfor-derlichen Schutzgrad zu erreichen. Eine Dimensionierung mit grossem Anteil an Sicherheit führt zu grösseren Anlagen, die mehr Investitionskosten und Platzbedarf zur Folge haben. Heute, wo die eingangs beschriebene Effizienz in verschiedenen Bereichen im Vordergrund steht, ist dies eine Art Betrug an der Bauherrschaft. Liegen Optionen vor, dieselben Schutzgrade mit verrin-gertem Aufwand erreichen zu können, so sollten diese im Sinne der Effizienz wahrgenommen werden.\r\nDie Bachelorthesis mit dem Titel «Optimale Rauch- und Wärmeabzugsanla-gen für ein Hochhaus und Grossräume» verfolgt das Ziel, den Unterschied zwischen verschiedenen Dimensionierungsmethoden aufzuzeigen. Der Ver-gleich erfolgt zwischen dem Standardszenario VKF und ausgewählten inge-nieurtechnischen Verfahren, welche auf den Brandverlauf in einer Nutzungs-zone basieren. Es zeigt sich, dass durch die genauere Betrachtung Einsparungen von rund 20% bei den Investitionskosten und rund 25% beim Platzbedarf in der Nutzungszone möglich sind. Da es sich bei den beiden ge-nannten Einsparungen um Vorteile für die Bauherrschaft und das technische Konzept handelt, ohne das bei der Schutzfunktion abstriche notwendig sind, sollte eine detaillierte Betrachtung für alle Anlagen notwendig sein. Dies ist zurzeit jedoch nicht möglich, weil das Wissen sowohl auf Seiten der Behör-den, als auch auf Seiten der Fachplaner, nicht flächendeckend vorhanden ist. Für die Firmen und Behörden, wo das entsprechende Wissen vorliegt, sollte dennoch die Option einer Ausnützung des beschriebenen positiven Effekts möglich sein.\r\n\r\nThe trend in today's planning of energy systems goes towards leaner and more efficient systems and systems, that are better adapted to the needs of the user. But this aspect only partially applies to planning of smoke and heat protection systems. The situation that an adaptation to the existing objects is only par-tially available is due to the differentiation between systems with a qualifica-tion and systems without one. The advantage of differentiation is that the ef-fort of planning and authorization is lower for systems without a qualification. It is possible to dispense this qualification because the dimensioning is based on the specifications of the fire protection guidelines by the Vereinigten Kan-tonalen Feuerversicherungen (VKF). These specifications from the fire pro-tection guidelines grant sufficient safety to achieve the requirements. But a dimensioning with higher safety leads to larger systems, which require higher investments and space. With today’s focus on more efficiency systems it’s kind of lie to the client if there are options available to achieve the same level of safety with less effort but not to include those.\r\nThe aim of the bachelor-thesis with the title «Optimale Rauch- und Wärme-abzugsanlage für ein Hochhaus und Grossräume» is, to show the difference between several dimensioning methods. The comparison is made between the standard scenario VKF and selected engineering methods focus on the fire development. The comparison shows that with the right engineering methods savings up to 20% in investment and around 25% in space are possible. Since both of the previous aspects are advantages for the building owner and the technical concept, without lowering the protection function, the engineering methods should be considered for all systems. Currently these methods are not used to their full potential because the knowledge by the qualifier and the planner is not yet sufficient.
