- Ein neuer Aktant soll in das statische System der Büttenenhalde eingewebt werden, der seine Eigenschaften mit
dem Faktor Zeit an die Nachbarschaft abfärbt und so langfristig einen neuen Alltag erschafft. Dies zeigt sich im
gebauten Raum durch eine Aufstockung der Einfamilienhäuser der dritten Etappe. Der Bestand ist zentral, aber
undicht und die falsche Typologie für die teils ältere Bewohnerschaft. Sowohl Problem als auch Potenzial sind
vorhanden. Das Projekt wird genossenschaftlich organisiert, um neue Bewohnende ins Quartier zu bringen und
Profitgier zu unterdrücken.
Die Aufstockung bietet eine heterogene Wohntypologie mit einer durchgehend stringenten Grundrisslogik. "Die
Erfahrenen“ ist eine altersgerechte Wohnung, damit die älteren Menschen nicht vertrieben werden. Ihr Alltag
erhält in der Genossenschaft einen Sinn, Bsp. durch Gartenpflege und Kuchenbacken in den Möglichkeitsräumen.
"Die Gemeinschaftliche“ ist eine Wohngemeinschaft aus einem bunten Menschenmix. Sie ergänzen sich mit den
Erfahrenen, Bsp. beim Spalten von Feuerholz für dessen Cheminées. "Die Wilde“ bietet Wohnen auf zwei
Geschossen und "die Zwei“ hat eine Gemeinschaftsküche und geteilte Wohnräume. Diese Mischung sorgt für
Austausch und Symbiose im Hausalltag.
Die neue Adressierung und das Öffnen der Grundrisse beleben die "Spielstrasse“ und den "Zentrumsplatz“. Ein
niedrigschwelliger Möglichkeitsraum wird als Ergänzung zur Kita geschaffen. Diese neue Entität bietet Raum für
Kommunikation, Verständnis für Nahrung und Freizeit. Mit der Dachnutzung zusammen ergibt sich eine Totalität
der Programme. Hier gibts es Raum für Pflanzen, Bewegung, Kultur und Werkstätte.
Die Architektur soll ein systematisches Gleichgewicht aufweisen, welches zwischen spontaner Konstruktion und
klarer Interaktion mit dem Gebäude vermittelt. Die Logik des Raumes ist offen gestaltet, sodass er lesbar ist und
Interaktionen zulässt. Der Austausch von analogen Handlungen mit dem Gebäude bringt die Bewohnenden mit
der Zeit zu einem Gefühl für dessen Dasein, für Energie, Statik und Raumabfolgen. z.B. durch bewegliche
Fassadenelemente, Feuerstellen mit Speichermasse, Low-Tech Klimafassaden und sichtbare statische Systeme.
Diese ehrliche und physische Architektur zieht sich bis in die Detailkonstruktion, wobei Schrauben dem Leim und
OSB-Platten der Dampfbrem- se vorgezogen werden. Dies beeinflusst nicht nur die Raumatmosphäre. Strukturen,
die dynamisch und agil sind, übertrumpfen in wandelbaren Zeiten die monumentalen Konstruktionen und
können weiter- und zurückgebaut werden. Das Denken im Prozess ist hierbei höher als das Denken des Produkts
für die Ewigkeit. Das gesamte Programm wird auf die kommenden Jahrzehnte geschrieben, durch die offene
Primärstruktur aber nicht in Stein gemeisselt.
A new actor is to be woven into the static system of the Büttenenhalde, which will rub off its
characteristics on the neighborhood with the factor of time and thus create a new everyday life in the
long term. This is reflected in the built space by adding storeys to the detached houses in the third
phase. The existing buildings are central, but leaky and the wrong typology for the partly older
residents. There is both a problem and potential. The project is organized as a cooperative in order
to bring new residents into the neighbourhood and suppress greed for profit.
The extension offers a heterogeneous residential typology with a consistently stringent floor plan
logic. "The Experienced" is an age-appropriate apartment so that older people are not forced out.
Their everyday life is given meaning in the cooperative, e.g. through gardening and baking cakes in
the possibility rooms. "Die Gemeinschaftliche" is a residential community made up of a colorful mix
of people. They complement the more experienced residents, for example by splitting firewood for
their fireplaces. "Die Wilde" offers living on two floors and "die Zwei" has a communal kitchen and
shared living spaces. This mix ensures interaction and symbiosis in everyday life.
The new addressing and the opening up of the floor plans enliven the "play street" and the "center
square". A low-threshold opportunity space is created to complement the daycare center. This new
entity offers space for communication, understanding food and leisure. Together with the use of the
roof, this results in a totality of programs. Here there is space for plants, movement, culture and
workshops.
The architecture should have a systematic balance that mediates between spontaneous construction
and clear interaction with the building. The logic of the space is designed to be open so that it is
legible and allows for interaction. The exchange of analogous actions with the building brings the
occupants over time to a feeling for its existence, for energy, statics and spatial sequences, e.g.
through movable facade elements, fireplaces with storage mass, low-tech climate facades and visible
static systems. This honest and physical architecture extends to the detailed construction, with
screws being preferred to glue and OSB boards to vapor barriers. This not only influences the
atmosphere of the room. Structures that are dynamic and agile trump monumental constructions in
changing times and can be further developed and dismantled. Thinking in terms of process is more
important here than thinking of the product for eternity. The entire program is written for the coming
decades, but the open primary structure means that it is not.
