Threads of a journey to a better life is a creative collaboration with 6 asylum seekers that are currently living in Belgium. During a two-day drawing workshop, they drew pictures about their past, present and future. The hopes and fears depicted in these drawings served as ingredients for a story cloth. Furthermore, the design of this narrative textile is inspired by Flemish tapestries.
After the exhibition, every collaborator receives a cushion that depicts a part of their story.
